About Us

Thom Knowles:

Thom brings a wide variety of experience, creativity and entrepreneurship to E³ Cabinets and Design. Thom’s experience includes 20 plus years in the construction business, with the most recent 8 years being solely focused on the cabinet business. Thom’s technical expertise is in the areas of cabinet design, quality installation and effective partnering with architects, builders, designers and homeowners. Thom also previously served as CEO of Ameurotech Corporation, a furniture company specializing in the manufacturing of information kiosks. Thom recently achieved is CGP (Certified Green Professional) designation through the National Association of Home Builders. Mick Saron:

Mick is a well established and widely recognized master craftsman. His area of expertise is ensuring that all E³ Cabinets have the appearance and expected quality of the finest cabinetry in the world. Mick is a native of Liverpool, England. He spent 5 years studying at the London Guild where he learned the art of European style carpentry. Mick has brought this highly developed skill set and applied them to the installation of cabinets in the United States. Mick joins Thom Knowles as the principal owners and mangers of E³ Cabinets and Design.

Carolyn Hyatt:

Carolyn is our design specialist and a graduate from the prestigious and highly acclaimed Western Carolina University’s School of Interior Design. Carolyn has been a kitchen and bath designer since 2004. Carolyn serves as an effective partner with Thom and Mick as they collectively strive to create customer satisfaction. Her particular skill set is in identifying customer expectations and creating custom designs that satisfies the customer’s needs and wants. She is an award winning designer in the Charlotte market, taking first place in "Best of the Lake."  In the initial phases of planning your cabinet design, Carolyn will be your primary contact in developing detailed plans and selections.
